There's even two cranes up for condos in downtown Regina actually

First high end condos built in Regina is like 4 decades.

My parents are planning to retire to Regina in a few years (they insist on returning to Saskatchewan but don't want to live in the boonies where they grew up).

They're kicking themselves they didn't buy when the housing was a bit more affordable there.

I love how Winnipeg is developing. So many of the projects have that extra little something: CMHR, Esplanade Riel, CanWest Park, Manitoba Hydro, Investor Field, etc. MTS Centre has been the only disappointment for me. Are there any plans for a new skyscraper for Winnipeg? I'd love for this city to develop a skyline like Minneapolis one day. Perhaps a smaller version of Wells Fargo or Capella.

I'm happy that the Halifax one is being built out at the airport.

I really dislike large chain buildings that have no regard for local architectural styles.

The design for the new Winnipeg Convention Centre and Tower expansion is still being developed. The tower could end up being taller then 100 meters which would make it one of Winnipeg's five tallest, though it could also be as short as 80 meters. The most likely scenario is that the tower will look similar to the new Four Seasons hotel in Toronto.

I don't think any major office proposals will be made in Winnipeg any time soon to be honest. The only "high-rise" office proposal in the city is Bond Tower, while a very nice tower, is only 8 storeys.

Comparing the 2 is akin to comparing Grace Kelly to Snooki. One's refined elegance, the other an abomination. Btw, the building I posted is the Wells Fargo Centre in Minneapolis.

He wasn't talking about the main tower in the pic dude. He was talking about the much shorter residential tower in the background in the right of the pic. And I'm sure One Park is much nicer and taller than the one mentioned.

and no there is no thread for it as there is no official proposal yet but there are conceptual designs for it but obviously you'd have to check the Winnipeg section for that. Also you could check my thread "tallest buildings proposed in Canada outside of Toronto" as the conceptual drawing for it is featured on the first page in the honorable mentions section. I think atleast?
