There are lots of duplicate names of cities around the world. What makes London and London so special?
Edit, just to elaborate on this topic a bit more. You talk about 'branding' well London is branded at this point with that name, even if it is in Ontario. If you call London, Ontario something else now, poof there goes the branding it did have (even if it shares the same name as many other places around the world).'
If you changed London, Ontario to Treeville, Ontario tomorrow, no one would know where you'd talking about, so in essence, London, Ontario is already branded.
