Guess I need to bump up the resolution on the smart phone.
These were taken on March 1st from the roof/19th floor level.
Some nice views of the city.

jvj, this is the cement box I'm talking about. If you count the floors above the podium, there are 16 (just as in the rendering Stormer posted), and that is where the main structure cuts off in the diagram. So will they be changing the design to cover the cement cube on top? Otherwise, yes it will be hidden from the West/Northwest/Southwest, but completely visible from the East (only at a distance of course... close-up, it would be cut-off by the edge of the roof).

The concrete box is the top of the elevator core and it will be completely enclosed by the walls/roof of the mechanical penthouse structure.

Sweet spot for a photo. This tower will stand out in the skyline more than I thought it would, seeing the parapet take shape.

The NDP opposition is questioning why the government is leasing new Regina office space while cutting 500 jobs province wide.

The new provincial budget includes plans to lease five floors in the Hill Tower 3, which is currently under construction.

Just had a thought while viewing the above picture. When we get one of our thunder storms accompanied by a torrential down pour, that angled portion of the building will act like a massive catch basin and eaves trough for that whole side of the buiding. I would not want to be standing on the sidewalk under that when it starts coming down.

Pretty much like the Twins now. Falling ice is the real killer.

Folks, this may be a heads-up here.

I sincerely hope that the two-storey-high concrete elevator blockhouse atop of Harvard III will somehow eventually be obscured. If it were to be exposed long-term, the result will be that the visual appeal and harmony of that tower will be lost right from the get-go. Once again, I sincerely hope that Mr. Hill/Ledcore will address that - before - that crane is dismantled. It is a beautiful building; and I'd sure hate to see the peak of that angled sash be spoiled due to that hugely exposed blockhouse on top.

Hopefully we'll catch them in time about that. Once that crane is removed, it'll be too late.

I hope that the Hill family reads these threads.
