Fine.

Ian, why are you whining, I thought the city has come so far from the vinyl clad garbage that gets built out in the burbs? Hasn't the city progressed so far in the last ten years? Thought we were building fabulous structures now....no?

Sounds like the 2nd phase of the Boyle Street is beginning construction according to someone on C2E. This project is not taking it's time, that's for sure.

Somehow I thought John Day's tower was going to be more than 13 floors. And I thought he was starting with the townhouse north of the tower?

Do we have any updated renderings of this kicking around?

Renovated Epcor building signs first tenant

Professional association to fill almost three floors of tower, now part of First & Jasper development
By Bill Mah, edmontonjournal.com March 28, 2012 4:03 PM

EDMONTON - The old Epcor tower has its first new tenant.

The professional group representing Alberta’s engineers and geoscientists is moving its head office across Jasper Avenue from Scotia Place to the building, now part of the First & Jasper development in downtown Edmonton.

APEGA, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, have signed on to move about 75 people to nearly three floors of the tower, which is being retrofitted, in the summer of 2013.

With the lease set to expire, APEGA decided to move out of the space it has occupied since 1986, which soon would have required renovations.

“We felt that the trauma of moving would be overcome by the benefits of moving,” said Al Schuld, APEGA registrar and interim CEO.

“Our understanding is that First & Jasper will be a very fine building when it’s completely refurbished. It’s going for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification.

New City demo is almost done if not completed already.
The demo of BoM seems to have stalled - I've seen no noticeable movement with that for the past 1 - 2 weeks.

I have been given a copy of a letter from Gene Dub with a sketch for the new "tower" proposed by Dub for 9984 Bellamy Hill. It looks to me as 26 floors and is a stacked building unique in design (looks modular). Is there a thread on this over on C2E?? I do not see it.

I got the same letter and pic of rendering too. I'll try to post it once I have access to a scanner.
