I've always wondered, if the issue with using river water is the fact that the waterfall goes over the walkway, couldn't the pipes come down below the walkway? Yes it would reduce the height a bit, but you could then likely use untreated river water without any health concerns?

I always wondered why they used treated city water rather than pumping it up from the river. Makes obvious sense to be to install pumps at the river and maybe tinker with the nozzles a bit.. I doubt the mist off this would pose any serious health concern.

Interesting Item Came across my desk today.

City of Edmonton & ISL are undertaking a Master Planning Study of the Buena Vista/ Laurier Park. The results of the master planning study will result in capital improvements and operational changes to these Parks.

Eric Carlson, CEO, Anthem Properties

Wesgroup would be the local Vancouver player out of that group.

Wesgroup's a much larger company than Springwood. I would have hoped that a much larger Edmonton-based company would make the Edmonton roundtable.

It is nice to dream and I love some of the rumors that the posters on this thread provide us but I will wait till I see a shovel in the ground before getting too excited. This city is littered with grand projects that were proposed but never came to fruition.

Interesting. Right now there isn't much there, save for the rowing club, trails and a few meadows.

65 storeys?! Something doesn't sound right to me, especially when you think about the height restrictions for this city and that this isn't exactly HQ central!
