The interior finished area above the 19th level is a mechanical penthouse (not a maintenance shack...and definitely not a spire), and it has a floor area that is about 50% of the 18th level below.

The mechanical penthouse has a structural steel frame, and is finished in curtain wall full height around all 4 sides, except for some mechanical louvres taking up a good chuck of the west face.

The top of parapet elevation at the curtain wall varies...it is at 81.00 metres on the south and west faces, and then drops slightly to 79.50 metres on the east and west faces. The top of parapet elevation on Tower 2 is 78.22 meters.

I don't have permission to post the design drawings from Gibbs Gage Architects, but all of the information above is gleaned directly from the final drawing package.

Apparently Harvard felt the height was appropriate...and apparently Gibbs Gage thought the appearance was suitable.
Ah, that sounds better. I was wondering if they would try some steel framing/cladding to hide it. Hopefully, it turns out pretty. it would be a shame to lose the effect of such a nice addition to the skyline.

only that they are working on hiring a ton of admin and technical people for their Kronau project and they need a place to work. (there are no office towers in Kronau - yet)

If they build another tower on the other side it BETTER NOT be the same — height. This is an awesome building but that one shot is umm terrible. We need to go 25!

After having three towers side by side at the same height, making the fourth one in line taller would make the four towers together aesthetically ugly as it would be really uneven.

I agree. Tower 4 and tower 3 will be the same. Mirror image I'm betting.

Nice looking tower though. Good for Regina and the densification of the skyline.

Could you possibly be referring to the proposed tower on Rose St. being a new home for Vale or a completely new tower?

I think that is a possiblity. There are several other proposals in the works that will be after them. They are in a Harvard building now so you know Harvard will be going hard to tie them up.

It is interesting that Rio Tinto (Bank of Canada Blg), Vale (Tower I) and Mosaic (Tower III) will all have potash offices within a 2 block stretch. The new palza should be named Potash Plaza!

I mentioned that on Western Expresso talking about Yara's possible $2 Billion Nitrogen project. They are a fertilizer company but not a potash miner.

They started erecting a steel structure on the roof of tower III today - what appears will be the skeleton for the peak on top where the angle from the side of the building keeps going up and will eventually host the Mosaic logo on top. The steel structure appears to be at least 2 + storeys tall and a dude was up there perched on top of a scissor lift that looked like it was near full extension. You would not get me up on that thing and if you did my hands would be squeezing the guard rail on the scissor lift so tight it would leave marks.

Nice pic Sask1982!

I passed by Hill Tower 3 around 10 pm last night, and it looked like there were only 2 levels remaining at the top where no glass panes have been installed.

Thanks. That is a unique angle. It will be much more impressive once Capital Pointe is built.

He'd have to take a much wider shot to get CP in there; the Northern Canadian Oils building didn't make it in, and CP is to be on the other side of it.

Regina's skyline is soo impressive for it's size. It is approximately the same size as Windsor and yet Regina has much better density and a more established and built up CBD.

Congrats to you guys, Regina seems like a little powerhouse!
