I don't see how it's that bad. It will blend into "downtown" Mississauga quite nicely. It's a shame about the placement of the garage entrance though.

The crown and haphazardly placed balconies are nasty but I'm glad they're using brick and more classic proportions for a change. It's pretty good for Kirkor.

On the other hand I won't say anything to jinx Halifax's beautiful potentially tallest building.

^^ I've seen better proposals from Wallman. The weak podium and 100% spandrel leave a lot to be desired.

^^^ It would be nice to see an actual rendering of these. They look promising but you have to admit the above render leaves a lot to the imagination. It looks more like a massing diagram.

To a certain extent it probably is a massing diagram. It shows the general shape and curvature that they intend for the building while leaving the details out.

Hopefully they streamline the curve a bit better once they put out actual renderings. I'd love to see a city rendering of Halifax with these in it. Im anxious to see how or even if these beasts would fit into the skyline.

That is a preliminary rendering. There are some elevations and floorplans with more details but the developer should be releasing real renderings and shadow study models before they have their public hearing.

There are some rumours that this might end up being a single tower. Perhaps the plan is to start by developing one tower and then develop the second at a later time.

Here are some old pictures Architype posted several years ago, it looks much better back then compared to today. If you follow the link at the bottom of the original post it brings you to video of the news where the picture was taken from. 57 minutes shows the building today.
