Are those trees like that from freezing rain or Ice Fog?

And this pic is great, I've never walked around Hamilton and think I might just make a trip there this week to snap some pictures. I know so little about the city that's 45mins away.

The trees are like that from Hoar Frost (condensation from when warm air and cold air meet.)

Also, can someone post a pic of hamiltons skyline as seen from the waterfront? I've never seen that.
Downtown Hamilton is pretty far from the waterfront, and much of the waterfront is industrial and port lands, so there aren't many good views of the skyline from the water. Most of the buildings are lower than the Escarpment, which is why you can't see Hamilton's skyline from Toronto or Niagara.

Here's a weird compressed view from Burlington [scroll------->]

Cool shot J-MAN, Hoar frost makes the trees look really cool, especially on a sunny day. Haven't had any in Calgary this year (that I can think of anyway).

To me Ottawa's skyline matches its metro population when you're actually in the downtown area.

Ottawa has a lot of blocky office towers. Despite the skyline I would guess that it has a big inventory of office space downtown.

Ottawa does feel to me like it has a relatively small "inner city" area, which I think is a consequence of how young it is. It has only been important for around 150 years and the federal government's current scale goes back only a few decades. I think Ottawa is approximately what you might get if you took someplace like London, Ontario and then grafted on an assortment of government buildings.

I've lived in London for most of my life and have visited friends in Ottawa on a number of occasions. Maybe it's just a case of being somewhere new, but Ottawa feels considerably larger than London. The skyline pictures of Ottawa really are deceiving, it has a pretty damn dense core. I don't know just how many of these office buildings are government, but regardless you can't find this kind of density in London:
