I like condo towers on Jarvis because they further encourage gentrification and bring a lot more pedestrian traffic to the area.
In addition to this development, new additions include Couture, X, X2, Pace, 200 Dundas and Market Wharf. It's also got numerous heritage buildings and a good number of mixed uses including Rogers Corporate Headquarters, the refurbished Sears building, the National Ballet complex, and the youth courthouse.
There is still a lot of potential for redevelopment on Jarvis and it's got good bones. Perhaps it will never regain its former glory, but I do expect that it will go from a run-down and neglected thoroughfare, to a dense and urban neighbourhood forming an integral part of the downtown.
