Looks nice apart from where the tower meets the podium with that pyramid arrangement.

So that's two ~200 metre towers announced for Toronto in just one day. That's more like it.

Now we still need to hear what's happening with the Ingels site and the new Globe & Mail headquarters. Exciting times are here again.

OK, chief, but where are all those supertalls you've been crowing about. We're waiting with bated breath for those official unveilings.

It seems that lately from the time this projects are being announced to the time they are built is getting longer and longer. Sometimes more than 5yrs.

Timelines have always been 5 years.

Ritz Carlton Toronto was released in its initial stages all the way back in 1993 when Simcoe Place was announced. Trump Tower almost the same thing. One Bloor, 2002.

Takes time for everything to come together.

Hey that's right next door to —'s Harvey's.

I'd be shocked if the city will allow a tower that tall so close to Allen's Gardens.

I don't see why that would be a problem. The site is positioned such that the tower wouldn't cast any shadow on the gardens.

I've haven't seen any hookers on Jarvis in years. Jarvis has been gentrifying rapidly. With all the beautiful old architecture on Jarvis, and the constant influx of new developments, Jarvis has a good shot of regaining its long lost status as one of Toronto's great streets.

LOL, that's true. I remember seeing quite a few during my phototours, even in daylight, a few years ago but it seems like the rowdy east side is changing for the better. I went joy riding at night this summer with some friends to check out some "sketchy" areas for jokes and everything from Yonge all the way to Regent Park seemed pretty calm.

This is an excellent location for intensification. I really like how Upper Jarvis has cleaned up quite well, but it gets quite dodgy south of Carlton. A development here should really enhance the streetscape and freshen up some new life for this stretch.

They use it in the winter to warm up in at night, c'mon guys get with the times. Actually it's had that name for a long long time now. When a past girlfriend of mine was living at Neil and Wyzicks that's what most of the students on res called it. In fact just Google —'s Haveys and you'll see it pop up. It marks the Eastern Edge of the — loop.
