Perched at the south end of the High Level Bridge, the city's most historically significant lamppost - and likely one of its most expensive - has been restored to its former glory.
The five-metre-high, stone-based post topped by five lamps was designed and built by noted sculptor Frank Norbury in 1929, and is the only structure of its kind on Edmonton's list of historic resources, Robert Geldart, the city's principal heritage planner, said Sunday...
