Plusieurs autres groupes ont des projets prêts à démarrer aux quatre coins du centre-ville. Ils attendent simplement de louer de grands blocs d'espace avant de démarrer les travaux.

Or, SNC-Lavalin, Rio Tinto, Deloitte et VIA Rail sont tous à la recherche de vastes locaux, «ce qui laisse présager un début d'année occupé», indique CBRE dans son plus récent rapport.

Je suis surpris que VIA cherche de nouveaux locaux. Leur siège social sur Cathcart reste quand même assez impressionnant, considérant que VIA n'est pas nécessairement la compagnie la plus dynamique. Pas mal sur que GO transit a Toronto a plus d'achalandage que VIA...

I'm not really a fan of the building VIA is currently in. They should build a tower atop Central Station (perhaps CN and the AMT might also be enticed?)

I don't see how CN would be enticed, seeing as they're hastily divesting themselves of their current property.

They could sell their current building and occupy less sq. ft. of space in a new one (like what Rio Tinto Alcan wants to do).

I guess, but I heard through the grapevine that CN is slowly pulling off a BMO and systematically moving their shit to Chicago, while only keeping their "Headquarters" in Montreal...

Things have been slowly but steadily evolving in this direction for a few years now.

Devimco has some new renders up of District Griffin. Notice that the phases along Peel are now shown, the location of the Alt Hotel is very clear (carbon copy of the Alt at Dix30). The wall effect along Smith St. is pretty cool (people coming in by train from the south will also see it.)
