Since we are well derailed... I reverse commute from Oliver to Windermere. was awesome seeing all the cars line up going no where in the other direction. My commute time took about 5 minutes more than normal (usually about 25-30 mins).

The fact that we get more of this bad weather than other cities is one thing that will always keep our traffic OK in the summer, barring major bridge construcion. People won't live 30 minutes from work if that turns into 2 hours in the wonter. Of course, this was an extreme day, but the overall winter slowdown does have an effect.

LRT was packed and flying, bike was faster than car yesterday.

Second-hand info:
Manulife II is not going on spec, but is agressively courting tenants from outside of downtown Edmonton.

Third-Hand Info:
The owner of the Healy Ford building has hired an architect to develop plans for renovating the showroom building into "storefront" office space. Young architect, apparently has an office in the building.

Grass stays green-ish year-round in southern Ontario. It doesn't 'dry out' like Alberta, largely in part to the humidity.

Wasn't there some rumour or speculation about the MELCOR 425,000k office proposal on Jasper and 102st being a potential 4-5 yr out new regional HQ for Enbridge?

Funny you mention that, I heard one yesterday and the other this AM and can somewhat corroborate.

Not as far as I know. They have offices in RBC that are rumoured to be moving to Enbridge Place. If they vacate RBC and Manu, they'd be down to 3 towers.

Just talked to my brother in law who works for Enbridge. He told me that Enbridge has eventual plans to consolidate its space in just two towers - the Enbridge Place tower and the former ING Building. About Enbridge moving some of its space to the TD Tower, he couldn't confirm that rumour.
