Wasn't the one at 97ave and 106st called wasnea at one point... does the same company own the lot on top of the hill and the other on the bottom? Bottom was most recently called waterfall?

Cold, you couldnt say good bye to the third premiers residence for a new tallest condo right in your hood?

Wasnea has 'Wasnea Tower' (formerly raintree) approved and incorporating his office and the historic apartment on 97ave and 106st. He also has the one on 105st just north of 97ave in DC2 process, cant recall where that landed.

That house and those trees are wonderful parts of our hood and IMO the home restored into office/retail/restau with a cool little shared atrium entrance just south for it and the new/old tower. Move the 40+ tower a little south. That said, I am not sure a 40 + or even a 30+ is appropriate on that/those lots. I am not against height, but rather site plan and design concerns.

Well its veery slippery out; the ground is so cold already, and majority of peaple have not put their winter tires on yet probably.

Tell me about it, I don't have mine on either. Its been snowy in Ft Mac all weekend.. I was hoping that the all seasons would be ok, no dice!

Same story every year. Snow tires should be put on in oct. Driving skills have to be adapted for the season or road conditions.

What an awesome walk home.

Some retard drove his car and got hung up on the grade seperation between the old foundation of a building (which is now the grade of a parking lot) and the alley north of Marvel college.

Gridlock everywhere. I watched some Crown Vic spend 20 minutes getting from 104 to 105 street on Jasper. ha suckas!

7:15 97th street bridge is still gridlocked

The driving conditions only enhance bad driving skills. It always surprises me that the city always gets caught by this weather, I was watching the radar since lunch as it moved in.

Still people Spinning your tires does not make you leave an intersection faster.

The only traffic I need to watch for tomorrow is snow mobiles and Quads.

Now back to construction related topic.

Talked with a number of associates the past two weeks and everyone is busy, not somuch with new work but updating and previusly stalled work. Personally I see projects that have been stalled for a couple of years restarting.

Sorry, what is all this talk about gridlock? I left at 5:00pm and was home sipping a beer by 5:05.

Oh... the cars. 103st had a few cars into the back of one another and bellamy a head on. 106st and 100ave didnt move.

Winter reminds me how much I love where I live. It also reminds me how much more of a priority we need to make LRT.

I'm enjoying the wind down and slow post construction period right now....Shit is going to get crazy for us in the next couple weeks with projects for next summer.

This snowfall was a combination of bad type of snow and temp creating ice on the roads. Worse conditions I have seen in years even for experienenced drivers. But this morning was a great drive in to work. Hats off to the city for doing a good job sanding the streets

I felt so bad for people waiting in their cars lined up along Jasper..

On my walk to work today on 117st ALL the sidewalks were cleared! Very impressed, hopefully it lasts all year

Driving conditions were tolerable, the drivers were not. However it took me 45 min to get home normally 25 -30 min. Always have an alternate route. I think because I've had allot ...ALLOT of years experience driving in these conditions I adjust almost immediately. Snow Tires on Oct 15 off April 15.

Work wise we had our breather the last two months, design work on some big project started this week. regrettably none local all in Fort Mack, Yukon and NWT. We don't get pushed on Nunavut projects until the new year, all design must be finished by May so the contractors can have product in Montreal in time for the northern sea lift.
