would be awesome if they made tower 4 a 100 meter icon tower for the Regina skyline, it's in a very good position for that to be done.

The only problem with that is their going to change the alignment of Dewdney from an straight east west to east south road. Why do people hate the grid road system so much.

1% vacancy is really low. If I'm not mistaken the ideal vacancy rate is 5-8%.

That might be the ccl condo projects . I went to one of the sales meetings a few months back it's geared for first time home buyers . The delvoplers and the city actully provide you with a downpayment which helps first time home buyers that has a hard time coming up with the 5 percent . Sure wish I had that option when I first bought .

Can you give any more detail? Sask drive, west of the casino, is in some serious need of attention so a development there would be VERY exciting!

I do not see any condos on Sask drive any time soon. Maybe once the stadium and realated amenities are actually under construction.

Agreed. Using Capital Pointe, Gardens on Rose, and Centre Square Place as examples, there is absolutely no way we will be seeing ANOTHER condo project announced. Regarding new condo buildings, "I'll believe it when i see it" is how confident I am that any project of that nature will happen.

I am not developer, but I really question Harvard's assertion that this building has completed its useful life and that it is prohibitive to restore the building. Really? There have been other buildings in worse shape restored, and they aren't citing any specific reasons such as a crumbling base. Winnipeg for example has seen a lot of older downtown buildings be restored and re-used. I think the truth is that they can make a lot more money if they tear it down and build a sky scraper than renovate a much smaller building. These are historic buildings that should be restored, it would be a shame if this or the one beside it got torn down. I'd rather see Harvard build on an ugly parking lot, than tear down a historic building.

I really hope the Gordon building can be incorporated into Tower IV. It would be a shame to lose one of the only gems downtown.

And I would be shocked if any condo goes in on Sask. All 3 downtown condos are slow on the uptake. Adding a fourth condo would only make the process longer.

To me it is more about the location than about too much supply. Why build on Sask Dr. next to the CP mainline when there are so mnay other suitable sites?

Sorry for the glare, but you can see Tower 3 starting to make its mark on the skyline.

Agreed. None of announced condos downtown have even broken ground. Seems highly unlikely.

Why can't they just retain the facade as the base of the new skyscraper like they do often in Toronto, Vancouver and even London Ont?

I believe even Winnipeg's ALT hotel proposal incorporates the original facade of a heritage structure.
