My thoughts exactly. BTW Carlos that is a stunning picture of the twins, did you take that? I think that 1 WTC and the rest of the buildings are just as iconic, well maybe not 4 but it's still great.

The only reason the originals are better, is because this one isn't finished yet, as opposed to how the twins were, when they were finished. As soon as this one is done, you'll forget about the beauty of the twins. Not that you'll forget about them, but this one will look at least as good.

Lately the building has been reminding me of the ICC in Hong Kong, although that will change as the final shape at the top emerges... great to see it finally noticeable from large parts of the city, as well (was with friends in Greenpoint and you could see it from there...).

This tower looks really good. Even though I was (and still is) an admirer of the former twins, I think that the new complex's architects did an almost perfect job to honor the past while looking at the future of the City.

However, I am wondering how One WTC will look at night knowing that the top of the tower will be empty (at least the last 20 floors).

Not the observatory.

Dont think FMIII means empty as in nothing on the floors, but empty as in not occupied as office floors. The top floors are going to be the tower's mechanical floors.

I would imagine, that they'll still be lit up at night, etc??

Yes, that is what I meant. Unoccupied as office floors. I am just a bit afraid that at night, even though those floors will be lit up, the top will look different than the rest of the Tower. In fact, the top might look more like a crown built to reach the 1373 feet mark than a real usable space. That is already what I felt when I looked at the Silverstein's video. And that is the only bad point about this tower, even though I understand the reason for thoses floors not to be occupied.

I think the upper tips of those cranes, are about where the roof top will level off.

Almost about where its going to top off. I think add 3 floors to the tip of the crane and you have the roof hieght.
