I know that they weren't the most outstanding works of architecture, as far as character and distinctiveness were concerned, but nether were they ugly or necessarily unspectacular. To say you actually 'liked' something the terrorists did. I think that is pretty sick!

So message one of the SSP editors and ask them to correct the diagrams. If they need blueprints, elevation plans, or whatever, have them contact me.

As for the forum threads, that's NYGuy's call.

As for the buildings themselves...meh. Good luck getting them to change their numbering. ESB has been using its current scheme for 80 years.

It's my model. It is not available for download. It will not be made available for download in the future. Many renders of this building, as well as many others can be found here: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?p=5069151

Feet/floors,etc.

This is an interesting building, borne from tragedy. I don't care if it is 1776 feet, or 1492 feet, or 1666 feet, or if it has 103 floors or 87. It is great fun to watch it rise and godspeed to all the iron workers and others performing this dangerous work. Please be safe and take your time.

Also, thanks to everybody who posts pics. I wish I could, but I'm about 2800 miles away.

What lie is that? I would think that in Florida with Miami you'd have a VERY good understanding of building economics...

After reading some of the recent comments, I had to add my own two-cents. The Twin Towers were amazing buildings, plain and simple. While they may not have been the most ornate, of fancy-shmancy, they embodied the simplicity and optimism of their time (1960s). They were unique in their immense size and scale. They grew to symbolize New York. Also, there were two of them, twins..This has not been duplicated anywhere else to my knowledge, except for Petronas Towers, which lets face it, are no Twin Towers. They had the highest occupied floors in the world along with Sears Tower. I miss them. Having said that, I like the new 1WTC quite alot and I think we are lucky it is being built in this lousy economy! It is a good mix of modern, and also has visual elements of the Twin Towers (the rough shape, antenna). I do wish they had built twins of it, as a kind of tribute to the old towers, but oh well. I think when it is topped out soon, more people will grow to like it. When people see the completed tower in the flesh, instead of visual graphics, they will admire it, Im sure.

Another point, someone earlier in this thread mentioned the sheer size of the new antenna/spire..They mentioned perhaps a pod of some kind could be added to it, perhaps for visitors craving an outdoor experience...Any chance of this happening, or maybe more floors being added at the last minute?

When you are at 1,300'+ you are usually from 105 to 108 floors in most buildings but how tall is a floor and what is counted.

I know I may be whining but is there any particular reason the floors in the top are extremely large? Sorry, but this doesn't make sense to me.This should be as close to 110 floors as possible. Not a stupid "85-story building with a 104 floor". Hope they can change the plans and maybe add a pod on the spire since it's huge enough. I just want this to be a true successor to the ESB like the Twins were. I'm done with the rant.
the diagram comparison was probably drawn a few years ago, which is why it's so out of date ( i think the Burj Khalifa is actually 828m)

I just have an interest with skyscrapers. If you hear a building is 100+ floors, you get excited. When you finally hear some of those floors don't even exist, you can possibly get angry and feel that you've been duped. This was a new thing I had to take seriously yesterday.
