I'm not supporting the new team unless the picture of the Queen is back in the rafters...

^ I'm not supporting the team if the seats don't change colour .....

in all seriousness, yeah it is a tad bit ridiculous. By the way, its been a few since the logo's been revealed...anyone who was previously on the fence now embraced it?

I'm loving it even more than before.

I'm not supporting the team unless they serve a specific cultivar of onion on the sausages at the concession stands.

Shit! Vid! You're alive! We talked about you at the SSP Vancouver meet, we thought you were dead!

And the logo is alright. Would look better if it was the Arrow or an F-18 tho...

If I lived in St John's, maybe It'd be different, but I don't have a reason to care about the AHL team of a city I don't live in. Especially if the name sucks. What exactly about the team should get me invested in its success? Being the farm team of the Jets would be enough if the team name were at least decent, but they might as well have called the team the St John's Abortions it's that unappealing to me.

I wonder where people from North Dakota, Saskatchewan and Northwestern Ontario will place their NHL allegiances now that the Jets are back

Would be nice to see some of these folks drive out to the Peg and support the team....or get Jets TV packs or something.

Gonna be next to impossible for us in the city of get seats so don't bank of people from out of town getting seats...but we have sports bars

Do people in the STH line get first dibs on single game tickets?

Where do you get that? The shape of the jet is exactly the same of an F-16. the only difference is the horizontal stabilizers, which are slated at the rear instead of perpendicular to the body of the jet.

Only question is that why would it be an F16? That is an old American Fighter. Until the CF-35's The CF-18's are the jets the canadians have been using for almost 2 decades. It makes sense that it would be a CF-18.

Speaking for Regina, people from here will definitely drive in for the odd game. 4 guys, a 5 hour drive and a couple of nice rooms within walking distance of MTS, would make a bearable weekend. As far as sellouts, tons of events are sold out all over N. America, but you can ALWAYS get tickets if you are willing to pay.

Therein lies my problem with having an F-16 as the basis for the logo. Note that in my original complaint I said an Arrow or F-18 would have been better.

The horizontal stabilizers are the same shape as the F-18s...and the general busy shape is the same as the F-18. The F-16 and the F-18 have very similar general body shape. That said, it's clearly an F-18.

In Northwestern Ontario lately, people have been rooting for whichever team has someone local on it, but people here are pretty excited about having a nearby hockey team that will actually be entertaining to watch.

Where are the Leading Edge Root Extensions? Where are the outlines of the vertical stabilizers sticking out over the edges of the airframe (between the wings and horizontal stabilizers is where they should be)? etc. I know it's just a rough outline, but these aren't exactly small features of the hornet, especially when compared to the F-16.

As a Regina man the Jets are my team. I hope to make it to 2-3 games this year if I can manage to get tickets.

It's a very basic jet shape, but it's quite easy to see what they meant it to be. It's a fighter jet, and as a shout out to the Canadian Forces, it most certainly isn't an F-16. The tail stabilizers look nothing like on an F-16, and if you look from above, the F-18 and F-16 have very similar overall shapes, being wider in the centre of the aircraft.

While you guys are at it, can someone please tell me what kind of plane was used on the 90s Jets' logo? I can't for the life of me figure it out!

At first I thought, maybe it's a Boeing 747 - but then realized that there is no identifable double-decker qualities to the drawing. Then I thought, maybe an Airbus A380? Nope, can't be - they don't have any models in red. Can't be a Cessna - the wing configuration is all wrong, not to mention that there are no propellers to be found anywere. I'm stumped!

Methinks it's time to start a new thread. Perhaps "Intricate Details Flawed on Stylized Fighter Jet Logo"?
