Would love it if they linked up the outer plaza on the north side with the Georgia viaduct sidewalk, but it doesn't look like that's in the works...

Well that is the plan of the Georgia Steps which will only go ahead when BC Place comes forward for the second development parcel. Mind you with the way things went with the first parcel it might be a while yet.

Anyone know if that's the scoreboard assembly that will hold the LED panels that's being assembled on the floor?

Edit: The structure under the white tarp at centre field is the Centrehung Videoboard Display hoist frame. It will likely be installed below the centrenode next week

It would be nice to see that SE corner of Beatty and Georgia get revitalized completely. Seems odd to have that blue industrial building at that corner.

It was a printing business, not sure what's in there now.

It's the Beatty Street Steam Plant.
It provides heat to most of the downtown core so I wouldn't hold your breath on re-development anytime soon.

bingo! ... so maybe it would be good to keep it a while? if of course dtrain will allow such a thing.

They've just removed the old outdoor video board facing the Cambie St Bridge (bottom left corner on the stadium roof cam).

Anyone know if it's being replaced or just being removed altogether?

Nice pics. That last one from the viaduct - were you taking it sitting on the concrete divider around 545 tonight?
