I COULDN'T AGREE MORE! Jersey City provides the best views of Lower Manhattan. You know what would be a dream? For them to put a observation deck at the very top of the Goldman Sachs Tower in Jersey City! I've always been curious what the top of the GST in Jersey looked like. I bet it's beautiful!

Oh I agree, I have always felt the WFC and Battery Park would make for a great downtown in any city in this country, but in NYC it is nothing more than an addition to everything else going on in Manhattan.

Actually, last I heard the prismatic glass planned to sheath the base was scotched, because of insurmountable "technical difficulties" (i.e., I suspect it was too expensive). It's up in the air at the moment what the base will look like once finished.

Actually, the manufacturer found the base's prism-cut glass became too brittle when scaled-up to the size of the panels WTC designers wished to use. It would crack or shatter when mounted, using the system to be employed.

Holy 🞵🞵🞵🞵 it already passed Beekman?! That was unexpected. Judging from most of the pictures it looked like Beekman still had a good 100 feet on it.

The thing is a beast height wise. Most impressively, it isn't even halfway to its pinnacle height.

If it passed Beekman,doesn't that also make it automatically make it the tallest building in Lower Manhattan since the other two buildings taller are just that by a spire and that will be mean nothing by just adding 1/2 floors?

It's up to you. There is no universal method for height measurement.
