It was a nice day today so I thought I'd take some pictures of development around my neck of the woods.
1. Millcreek rec center on Evergreen Ave. around 2300 East (I really don't know anything about this):
2. Mockup. Looks like copper is becoming a trend.
3.
4.
5.
6. Holladay village center project (sporadically progressing). The roadblocks are actually blocking a future plaza, not a road.

^The pavers in these crosswalks have had to be replaced 2-3 times already. They keep failing.
7. I think the concrete thing is going to be a fountain. The frozen yogurt shop in the background, as well as a game store next door, opened this month.
8. The pavers have been sitting on those palettes for a while now.
9. Burton Lumber celebrated its 100th year in Holladay this year.
10.
11.
12. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but Sharon's is always good.
13. LA Tart, in the far corner of the red building, is very popular with high school age kids.
14. Gepetto's Pizza is a local favorite. They usually have live music on the weekends, so don't go on a weekend ;D
15.
16. Boulevard restaurant is one of the best in Utah, supposedly. I've never been, but reviews are great. I think it closed a while ago during construction, but it looks like it's open now. I think there's a dance studio on the top floor of this building. The striped awnings on the left are for Top It, another frozen yogurt place.
17. I don't know how Relics frame shop has managed to stay in business for so many years, but it has. What used to Holladay Pharmacy in the distance is now a full-blown Wallgreens. They replaced the signs last week, after Walgreens purchased the store a few years ago.
18. Coin shop and Al Rounds gallery. Some of these places are probably just run by rich people with nothing else to do.
19. "The Store Too," a nice little grocery store, and the 2nd location of "The Store," also in Holladay. They always have good meats and enchiladas ready to eat.

Too many old billboards!
20. Orlando hates this building, if I recall correctly. I don't.
21.
22.
23. The new Oakwood Elementary on Highland Drive. I wanted to get some pre-demo pics. Oops, too late.
24.
25.
26.
27. Cafe Madrid on Highland Drive. I'm not sure yet if this is supposed to supplement or replace their location on 3900 South. I presume it's the latter.
28.
29.
30. Cottonwood Mall property:
31. I just get a kick out of how high the creek is.
