Nice ... Thanks. How are the Avenue Building balconies being attached to the building? It seems odd that you'd almost be finishing the entire building without even starting the balconies. Are they just bolted on? They seem awfully large not to be integrated into the structure a little more than that.

I really hope they do take down those walls at the library park; many parking garages have entrances like that but with smaller metal fences blocking the area above, not huge concrete walls. Also those walls aren't just around the parking garages; there are large areas of tall dark wooden fences around the park too. All of this ends up making the whole area so much deader and uninviting then it should be; having been nearly mugged there, I take it sort of personally. Its such a nice area, but a lot needs to be done to make it better.

The move by RRC Culinary Arts department to the new Union Bank facility has been set back a year.

Does anyone have any idea on how the refurbishing of the old California Fruit Market building for the Neechi Commons is going? Because from what I've seen, not much is happening on the outside.

I'm on the mailing list for Verve Tache condos. As most of you know phase 1 is almost complete and across aubert street Phase 2 is well underway (possession anticipated for April 2012).

Anyway, got an email yesterday informing that sales are now starting for Phase 2. Interesting tid bit:

"The ramp to the underground parkade will be shared with a project that we will build next door at 750 Tache. "

Anyone know of what project it might be? If it's another phase to the condo project won't it completely obstruct the views on the units facing south from phase 2?

Me neither, but I've just gotten the frontal view from Main. I haven't had the chance to see behind.

However, if someone can upload some pics...

Yeah, sorry, my computer and my brain had some issues. Great shots. How many images did it take to create that? It is extremely cool.
