Great News!!!! Downtown needs more big projects like this. Soon we're going to cross that threshold and the momentum will take on a life of its own. Downtown Montgomery is going to make a lot of people very rich.

Mixed feelings about this one. Something desperately needed to be done with the building, but I have a problem in giving owners who would let the building rot like this tax money to fix it up. I'd rather see it condemned, and given/sold to somebody who would do the right thing.

It does seem to create an unfortunate disincentive to care for your property. The owner of the Brew Pub expressed frustration before closing that the city was distributing funds in a way that effectively picked winners and losers.

But the building is an eyesore and an impediment to pulling Lower Commerce Redevelopment up to Dexter. Some change did need to happen.

You and thoraudio make some good points, but yes something needed to happen, like yesterday, to get this beautiful building into the mix somehow.

Yea no one showed up when a friend and I arrived. We left to get some dinner before it started since Earth Fare never showed up. We ended up not being able to go back since my friend had something come up. I drove by it before leaving and still no other cars were around the office. So sad.

anyone know what is being done with the old circuit city behind eastdale mall? They are changing the whole front. Did someone buy it? Looks alot better then it did.

Also anyone hear about the old Freddie B's Grille that was supposed to open at Atlanta Crossing?
