Agreed. I didn't mean it as a jab. Calgary is my hometown after all. Just suggesting that we should aspire to Montreal-style density.

60 years later and Toronto is still 'booming' , well maybe not really. But in terms of construction and population growth we are booming even if our economy is going down the tank.

Last time I was in Calgary was for Grey Cup 2009, when the construction was maybe 15 stories high

Yeah, this video is very nice but kind of old. The OACI building (Place de la Cité internationale-phase 1) on University was in construction (site prep), and it has been built between 1994 and 1996....

All that construction is bringing a tear to my eye.

Looks like Winter is in its last throws. Good time to hit the street now and do some skyscraper photography after a month and a half in exile. Also gotta do some slumming on Bloor West, and chat up some Dominican Hookers at Lancaster. Ha, Spring is here! And it doesnt get better than this.
