Toronto: 189
Los Angeles: 69
Calgary: 56

Seems to me that in terms of sheer scale Calgary/Montreal/Vancouver are to Toronto what Toronto is to New York/Hong Kong/Shanghai.

^Those night pics of Toronto are crazy. Toronto's density could double for Tokyo or Shanghai when looking at those pics

A major landmark for the City of Toronto will be once it eclipses 2000 for the number of twelve plus storey buildings. Still several years off.

For Montreal you're missing:
St. Lambert - 9 / 22,000
Brossard - 8 / 76,000
Vaudreuil-Dorion - 1 / 27,000

As well the 746 number is for the island of Montreal which has 1.8 or 1.9 million people. The database on SSP doesn't list all of the municipalities on Montreal Island separately (I believe Emporis does - but it is missing a huge number of buildings), so I guess you might as well just update the population figure.

Not to be that guy, but people make it so easy.

In short, NO and NO for both your points.
