Lookin good!

When looking at NYguy's pics don't just look at 1WTC, look at 7 and you can see the same waviness in the glass as 1 WTC. The glass looks great to me, and boy are they moving quickly.

Yeah, glass looks almost exactly the same as 7WTC, and that building came out stunning.

AM I correct in guessing that the orange material indicates the section of the building prepared to receive the cladding?

Need to smooth out the escalators, but it's coming along. Not sure if I know how to display the dichroic glass though. That'll be a fun one to figure out.

Yeah, that second floor seemed to go up overnight. We'll probably be looking at the third floor of glass next week. If so, it will be on pace with the PA's predictions.

The pace of construction on 1WTC seems to have slowed slightly. Normally they were doing 2 floors in exactly 2 weeks, starting on a Monday and ending at the end of the following Saturday workday. By this pace, they should have finished the last 2 floors by the end of last Saturday, yet they were still installing the floor beams and the metal decking until about Thursday of this week. Also, now that they've finally started on the next two floors (only this morning), they're only installing the perimeter columns instead of the core columns. When they do this, it usually means the pouring of the concrete in the core is slowing them down... which wouldn't be surprising, considering that we're now entering winter, which I'm sure slows things down with the concrete due to the temp and only being able to pour on warms days, or having to install those huge warmers around the entire core.

^ Great comparison.

BTW, I forgot to mention yesterday that it looks like they finally began work on that Vesey St Bridge extension.

On the Earthcam HD you can see that they put up the third level of corner cladding on the SE corner.
