I personally would like to see more trees and brick sidewalks etc, I know it costs money but still, as for light fixtures, I like those black ones, that kgc087 was talking about, by the way anyone hear anything about the lighthouse project for affordable living??, there was something mentioned a little while ago about construction management proposals but did not hear anything further from that or how it went, if anyone knows more about this please let us know, thanks!, also any updates 275 second??

No I hadn't forgot about that part of circle. Although when the south Bridge is finished more people will go around that way to get to 16 even though it is longer, just to avoid the lights on 42nd. For that reason is why I said that we need to get Ave C figured out. Sadly still a cluster*&%$ no matter how you looks at it though.

Like you stated the new south bridge will deflect most of the traffic. So no real need to fix avenue C. People will avoid it if they have an option. Plus it isn't that bad.

Unfortunately, much of the truck traffic which will use the south bridge will still have to use Ave C. and Circle North to get into the north industrial area or onto Highways 16 and 12. The Dalmaney Road between 22nd and Highway 16 has some weight restrictions which will not allow heavy trucks to use it. There needs to be several major road improvements for the trucking industry before Circle Drive north can improve.

Is the Holiday Inn building ugly or what! Just windows on the front and then venting all to the front of the road. Seems pretty slapped together and not well thought out for the area. Perhaps they are planning on having other buildings on the sides so windows would be useless.

It looks like a window air conditioner. Tyndall stone and marble are not going to improve this thing.

Thanks for the photos. I might have to ask Santa to give me an extra 5 or 6 floors for this hotel to give it some real height!

Here is an idea, the parking lot for Midtown would be a perfect spot for a convetion center? No? With the auditorium, and hotels adjacent it might be a dam good spot?

Anyone have a spare billion?

I think we need to put things in perspective and just be thankful it's not another IM Park lot and we have something actual being built downtown and not just a sign in front of some parking lot saying something might be (but probably won't) be built there.

I agree, but at the same time I understand the argument that settling for mediocrity is just as bad.
