There were a large number of advance votes before candidates announced their withdrawal. Some people who voted for them were ticked about that. There may also be some people registering protest votes if they don't like the frontrunners.

Not sure if they're getting the numbers earlier, but that's my guess.

Look at Ward 4. It is a two way tie for first, with two each, and a five way tie for third, with one vote each.

Which tells us shit the fuck all for one of the wards that will definitely have a new face here.

Farrell is now behind...

Supposedly the SE hasn't been counted at all?

I won't say who I voted for, but, I just hope I'm not disappointed.

Any other purple smilies?

Ward 13 makes me sad.

We must have some of the most apathetic people in the city.

I assume votes like this are just discarded?

Another question: how close does it have to be before a recount is called? Anyone have any idea how long THAT would take in this city?
I'd like to give my fellow calgarians the benefit of the doubt and that most of those votes were advanced votes. Although I met one person at the gym who wasn't going to vote for that brown guy, when I asked him who he'd vote for, he mentioned Joe and I told him that Joe was the next best vote.

If they were still voting in the SE at 9 its going to be a while before we get any votes reported.

Does anyone know: what is the difference between polls (from dollhouseyyc's tweets) and stations (election calgary's website)?

Who would have thunk? I'm on edge waiting for CIVIC election results!

The reports from DollHouseYYC are coming from scrutineers who are watching the counts as they happen, so those are numbers that may not make it into the unofficial city numbers for possibly hours yet.
