Boy, WTC7's glass looks awful in this pic...fingers crossed WTC1's won't look like that without any light to create the mirrored look...kind of concerned about that

well they said to me around the 20th, so dont be disapointed if it not on that day or a couple of days off. but when it done come on it will look good on tower 1v2.

I hope I don't have any plans for the 20th because I'll be here all day (like that's any different...)

I can imagine once the curtain starts going up there will be about 200 posts a minute here.

Are they going to start cladding above the twentieth floor with the normal office floors? They've been talking about pieces shipped from Portland, but the base glass will be manufactured in China, and I haven't seen any news on those yet.

I guess they figured we don't see enough of the Freedom Tower rising... But we need to see all angles. I'll add the links.

No, we haven't seen that yet, and I've been waiting to see it. It won't be the usual glass we are used to seeing on skyscrapers.

Glass is being cast in Minnesota, not China

According to the linked article, the glass is being fabricated by Viracon in Minnesota - not China.

BTW, Here's a local news piece showing Benson Industries fabricating the cladding.... I believe it aired 10/2/10...
