Not yet. When was it supposed to start?

I don't think there was ever a concrete (no pun intended) date announced regarding the construction of this hotel. I could be wrong though...

A Sheraton Four Points Hotel will be going up on the Regina Centre Crossing lot at the former Superstore property just north of downtown off Albert Street.

Saskatoon-based VJ Management is behind the project. The company's Roger Egger says they're hoping to get a foundation laid before winter

I was just out around the city over the summer and into fall and have decided to show you the city I love from my perspective.

All photos below are taken by me. Credit = me.

There has been very little activity at the City Square site for the last two weeks, other than they are now diggiing up the sidewalks and street in from of Tower II on 12th. The main plaza area has been virtually abandoned for two weeks.

At Mosaic Tower work continues on the shoring. They have the H beams cemented in around more than half the site. They will need another week to complete this I would guess. They can then excavate deeper and put in the shoring planks.

It looks like the oil refinery, just off the 46 highway.

University of Regina to offer registered nursing program with SIAST
Before, only SIAST and University of Saskatchewan offered training for registered nurses

I'm about 90% sure that wall art was done by a friend of mine. He was doing work on the Tiki Room, but I'm not sure if it was the interior or the exterior.

Spooky. Good place for a shootout movie scene.

It is Josh Goff and co. Personally I hate this mural, along with a lot of the other ones they do. A poor attempt at graffiti, if you can call it that because of its legality. Personal opinion! Also the fact that there are so many of these around the city by the same people around bothers me, kind of like the other artist who did Alfredos in the Eastend and numerous others downtown. Variety would be nice.

Sorry, I was mistaken. The art I was thinking of wasn't at the Tiki Room. It was this piece

Anyone know what's going up behind the Global Regina building(adjacent to the Ring Road)? Looks quite large.

CBC News TV states that the Arcola Ave. overpass (over the Ring Road/Highway 1 Bypass) will resume 2-lane traffic for vehicles in either direction by 7 pm tonight! -- Unless they've resumed already! Pedestrian traffic is still not quite ready. (Will anyone else read this post before that time comes?! ... Have a good weekend everybody! )

Newstalk980 reports that the City says it is going flat out to get 12th Ave reopened. What a ridiculous statement. The site has been virtually abandoned for two weeks.

The Leader Post is featuring an (rather lengthy) article about the Hotel Saskatchewan this weekend, tidily chronicling its history, and even filling in with tidbits to correct a few myths regarding the hotel, and implying extensive renovations for much of its interior, possibly in the near future -- "The colonial look will be replaced by something along the lines of the Ritz Carlton." Hmm ... That might be a nice change!:
