Avianca's foray in that domain was short-lived. Their tow pilot neglected to give them enough altitude...

And remember, aviation is no laughing matter.

The visuals will be great if this runs along the south east side. Add to that the new Air Ambulance and Government hangars.

I am assuming this is within the new airside development they are currently constructing.

^just back from Vegas, man the new terminal is MASSIVE here. Had a great view from that turboprop jetway.

p.s. I do not recommend being late for a flight out of Vegas on a Sunday... 18hrs later I am home.

Back from TO this evening and had a good look at the steel going up on the tower. Will post what photos I have but the shots were as the plane was pulling out Friday.

I concur cold's thoughts on the new LAS terminal. I had a glimpse of it today as well when heading back out to YYZ.

AMERICAN AIRLINES AND WESTJET ANNOUNCE COMMERCIAL AGREEMENT

Canada NewsWire
Canada

Agreement is WestJet's First Interline Agreement With a U.S. Airline - Opens Up Travel to More Cities in Canada for American's Customers

FORT WORTH, TX, Oct. 19 /CNW/ - American Airlines and WestJet Airlines announced today they have entered into an interline agreement. The interline agreement means American Airlines customers travelling to Canada and transferring to a WestJet flight can purchase a single ticket and check bags through to their final destination.

The agreement provides American's customers seamless connecting service to 25 new Canadian cities not currently served by American or American Eagle. WestJet serves a total of 31 Canadian cities and 71 destinations in 13 countries.

The connections will first be available through the six gateways in Canada currently served by American or American Eagle - Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax and Ottawa. American and WestJet expect to implement a second phase of their interline relationship in December that will add additional connecting opportunities through WestJet's non-stop U.S. flights to Canadian cities.

Ornge will still use the Toronto Island airport when necessary - it just isn't cost effective to use it as a base. Porter has put the squeeze on everyone there.

Not just AC, but Porter expansion. AC only got a handful of the new slots, where the greater proportion went to Porter.

AC has mused about building its own terminal however, by buying out another tenant.
