^Will see...

For now I have other ''things'' to try and figure out.And as my very understanding boss said, ''Go get her".

They want me to work this out at all costs, will see and all I can say if I fail is I tried...

4 flights by Delta to MSP might be hurting UA route to ORD a little. Down to 2x daily (YEG-ORD UAL) starting November.

E70's are good planes for that route. 3x daily will be back for summer from what I understand or actually spring.

Yesterday reminded me how people who complain about how long it takes to get to YEG exagerate or need to find a map.

I left downtown at 4:15, arrived at YEG at 4:50, back home downtown 5:20.

Oh and MY GOD that expansion terminal is MASSIVE!

That must have been 4:15 in the morning as Envision Edmonton says it's like an hour each way and I may as well go all the way to YYC

Clearly you were driving some sort of modified Delorean...

Was the airport even open? According to Envision YEG is closed like 60 days a year, you might as well roll the dice if you choose to fly out of that place!

^^ And all this slagging of YEG seems to hint to their true goals: return scheduled service to YXD. And since YXD is limited in the kind of aircraft it can handle, that pretty much means turning Edmonton into a spoke for Calgary's hub.

Bingo, I had hoped that my wink after the first sentence would have hinted at that. Plus I'm no slouch when it comes to my aviation knowledge either (Canadian Commercial License holder).

I get a chuckle out of some of the crazy stats and statements made by the Envision folks. Was just playing on that.

Those fools! The only good flying cars will have full VTOL capability.

No evidence of control tower construction but it would be hard to see from departures in my car.

OK this article not specific to YEG, but it is the future of some of our travels...more bums in the seats on A320 and other Airbus Aircraft by using new lighter, thinner seats using new materials. I guess we will soon see what the seats look and feel like...as where Lufthansa goes...so goes Europe and every airbus operator.

http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/201...yout-rejig-equates-to-12-free-a320s.html

Not sure about how good this will be - the extra 5-10% increase in passengers still have luggage. Maybe Lufthansa will price luggage at a huge premium over and above the gouging that now goes on.

Upside is lower cost of operations, possibly more competitive fares. Lufthansa will be able to redirect its capital spend to new routes rather than adding metal to existing routes (5-10% will buy them time on those routes).
