I don't like the vehicle levy for the simple reason that it has no relation to the distance traveled. My gf and I find it necessary to keep a car (hard to argue in today's society), but we share a single car, and drive maybe 6000 kms/year. How is that comparable to the average person that commutes 50 kms/day and puts 25,000 kms/yr on their car.
