^ The Herald and a couple other sites have sections setup with lists of the declared-so-far candidates. The city only has a list of names (and no links) after nominations are closed.

Here's another page that highlights all the candidates in each ward/mayor and links to their websites and so forth:

After nomination papers are filed on September 20 the City will put up a site with the website and office address of each candidate in each ward. They will also publish a booklet with the nominated candidates within.

DJ also keeps an up-to-date list here: http://djkelly.ca/2010/04/whos-running-for-calgary-city-council-in-2010/

Hope that helps!

Just spotted an interesting post on Facebook by Naheed Nenshi: "Looking forward to a very big day tomorrow. Very big.". Nothing on twitter but I suspect we can all guess what he's referring to.

Can we assume he's just running for Alderman? I wish he would post here once in a while.

Hopefully Nenshi will run for something. But, I'm getting really tired of Paul Hughes' (the chicken guy) tweets. Very annoying, and it's only May.

I'll third that, he is an idiot. I really wish I could say better of him than that, but his tweets have brought me to that conclusion.

Some of Connelly's tweets have to be written by someone else. He doesn't seem bright enough to do them himself.

Well this is a little surprising, given some of us figured he'd run for alderman instead:

So what's this Nenshi guy all about? Sounds like a pretty popular guy around these parts.

Seems like him and Kent Hehr are the "intellectual" choice....I wonder if they will split that segment of the vote vote just like many thing will be done with McIver, Connely etc.
