Is that a corridor to the street?
Or is it the one that goes to the Zellers?
I always wondered why the Zellers is still in Richmond Centre (when there's a huge one at Lansdowne) ... they must have cheap rent.

there is no Zellers in Richmond Centre - it was taken over by Coast Mountain sport and Old Navy a few years ago

its the corridor near Old Navy one of the interior corridors that crosses east to west...

there must have been 20 stores that got shut dowen or moved around to do this so they must have a big lease to prepare that much room for I can't imagine them moving people out that many stores - like foot locker etc

Maybe that section is just getting renovated and the stores are just temporarly closed until it is all done. I have never been to Richmond centre but it would obviously be great if they can snag up an H&M....i highly doubt a Forever 21 will move there before it opens downtown.

I believe Forever 21 are in the process of negotiating for some space along Robson at a potential redeveloped site. It would still be quite sometime before they were able to break the Downtown market if the deal happened.

is it the space behind aldo? that area is almost empty it seems they could close it all in and make one large space

the richmond corridor will be gone - I don't think it will all be one store but it could house a big one and some smaller ones again

The restaurant that will be occupying the new english bay bistro stop will be none other then Catcus Club. They will also provide a cheaper take out menu. The Parks board scored a decent lease out of them at $240,000/yr plus 4% of revenue. Kinda surprised they didn't go with a union company after all the issues at Stanley park.

I like this. And love it or not, Cactus and its brethren do well in Vancouver, seem to draw crowds, etc. Is it really not completing until 2014 though?

I wonder what it will take to get a seat on that patio during the fireworks?

With the current amount of time restaurants take to open, 2014 could be right!
