Really though, Zwei is using the tactics being used by Fox News. He's doing exactly what he has accused of us doing, that we "lie" until our "lies" become the common truth and at the same time he's writing it all in a very smug, high and mighty arrogant manner very much like Bill O'Reilly....has anyone watched the recent Jon Stewart interview on Bill O'Reilly? We're all Jon Stewart in this train fight.



Zwei knows exactly what 's doing and he is quite self-conscious about destroying his region just so that he can get an insignificant LRT/commuter rail in his backyard. He will try to scorch everything in his way to get what he wants.



And as for accusing us of "telling lies until our lies become the common truth," that's quite ingenious and crafty of him when that's actually his game plan for trying to "win".

Here's a very extreme and fun way of putting it in another way...aliens want to take over Earth, but they don't want humans to expect it so that they can take over the planet quickly. So they send alien humanoids to direct alien films so that we'd least expect such invasion plans from extra terrestrials or even the existence of aliens....movies they have made to "fool" us include Independence Day, Men In Black, Monsters vs. Aliens, Signs, Transformers, X-Files, War of the Worlds, etc.

Your right this is a common and perfected tactic. You flood a debate with missinformation and that neutrilizes the information. When someone sais A a hundred times and someone says B 50 times then to people who dont have a background in the subject(this is almost always a majority or more) A becomes the more likely one to be true. When you apply this fact to thousands of people then A infact does become the truth in every way possible. This is how anyone sways public opinion to where they need it, obviously though you still need the means to always match and exceed information with missinformation. Mind you there are many perfected ways to market information, or missinformation to the people, so the playing field is never equal. Its actually rather simple, and canot fail if properly executed, literarly, and in the same way sad how simple and maliable we all are, anyone can make us "think" and even "do" anything they want if they have the means. People on this forum wont fall for it so easily, unfortuently the other 99% of the people can, and would if the guy had the means to properly execute this tactic.

Another example could be Olympic costs. The whole bogus $6-10-billion figure came directly from Chris Shaw...he said it so many times to the media to the point that they've caught on and the distorted reality has become the truth.

Any sane person will agree that all these INVESTMENTS in infrastructure are still paying the BC taxpayers dividends to this day.

You can also add the Alex Fraser Bridge and the East-West Connector in Richmond.

Also was BC Place built for Expo 86. I remember it opening in 82 or 83. But I was only a kid so really didn't know anything back then.

How many times did Veep Cheney use "Saddam Hussein", "WMD", "9/11", "Taliban" and "Al Qaeda" in the same sentence - sometimes the same breath - in the run-up to the Iraq war, even though middle-east experts at the time were saying Saddam was a sworn enemy of Osama and Al Qaeda, and Saddam would have killed Osama and any other Al Qaeda people if they were caught in Iraq when he was still ruling the country.

The blind lack of questioning is because no one has the time or means to quesion everything, its simply not possilbe. Someone who finds the time to question goverment policies will as a result not find the time to question for example the ingredients in a Strawbery Cheese cake, and vice versa. You will never get a majority of people questioning one single issue, its not possible and its not efficient. Rather you will have the majority basing their understanding of each issue on the facts that are available. Most of these facts are deemed to come from people who did question the issue, and therefore as valid (from a large sample pool) as if each person them selvs questioned the issue. The majority then predicts what the truth should be, or is most likely to be based on this information, and it then acts on it as if it were the truth.

This simple fact is then exploited, and this is why big lies are easy to tell, incredibly easy, infact disgustingly easy.

By the way cabotp, we are all sheep, there is no way of escaping that fact, by not being a blind follower in one aspect of life you become a blind follower in another. Its simply not possilbe to live life without ever being a "sheep".
