I know thiis is OT, so if someone would direct me to the correct thread, I'd appreciate it.

Does anyone know what this area of the plaza is for?

For quite a while it was an open pit, then they built plywood decking (unlike the steel in-place forms used elsewhere in the plaza) for the concrete that's being poured today?

either its to do with the subway station of its some sorta sistrin/sump pit??

That hole left open in the memorial was for the chiller plant below, loading supplies and pouring concrete to form the walls of the structure. The concrete walls will help support the ceiling that they are forming now, in other words, they are done and are sealing it off. The plywood is just to hold the concrete up until it dries.

By the way I forgot my input....OMG IT'S FINALLY DONE!!!

They also finished decking for floor 20 at 1WTC this afternoon.

yeah. due to the lobby and high ceilings for mechanical floors, it is. And plus, it may not look like it in pictures. but in person, its huge.

As far as floor count goes, I count only 92 actual levels from the lobby to the roof according to the renderings. The first page also lists no floors from 7-19 or 94-99. From the image below it looks like there are only 3 or 4 sub-levels as well.

So how again is this 104 floors?

People, please read the thread if you're going to post. There were many detailed accountings of the way the floor count works. We are not going to repeat this on every page, that's the reason I put the floor count on the first page.

I understand that they're counting tall floors as multiple levels (don't really agree with that). Even still, I'm not sure how they get 20 floors out of a 186' high base, especially at 14' per normal office floor so they must be skipping numbers for no real reason.
