yeah it stopped snowing and the sun is out. Looks like the snow will melt by tomorrow on the constructional site, but the snow will remain on sidewalk for about a week or so. IMO

Hard to make out what it is in the screen shot below from the HD cam but it looks to be a large piece of steel and maybe a "jeep" (heavy haulage term) before the trailer to add more axles

That's going to be one hell of a weld/joint connecting the two halves of the corner nodes.

This is very exciting! It used to be you could miss the updates for a couple weeks (even a month) and not miss much visible progress. Now, if you miss a day or two you miss a lot. YAY PROGRESS! DO IT!

When you see it in place, you get a real sense of what it does. Just seeing diagrams, it was too abstract.

Me likey.

Only in Manhattan would a structure that's already about 170 feet tall look like it's less than 100.

Can't tell if they were installing the entire thing, but if so we'll begin to see the tapered effect...

wow...you can really see the height of the base with the ground shots... also in the last pic you can clearly see the main beam on a angle, due to the path tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
