That picture with the covered structure could be an over pass or could be a facade mock-up. Usually they do those off-site though.

Apparently it's a new-temporary overpass.

Thanks, just wanted to check with everyone else to make sure. I wasn't sure because It's kinda wierd how it's going with the road in that middle section.

Is it commonplace for a 4 year old building like 7 WTC to still have unused space?

It isn't unusual. See the "Empty State Building" and the original World Trade Center.

Great shots canadate ! mmmmmmmmmm, crane — !

Looks like Wednesday is a washout, probably Thursday too.

Unlike the last storm that got pushed out to sea by the jetstream it looks like this one is gona hit NYC dead center. The latest report calls for 10 to 16 inches of snow ending late Wednesday night.

Something to cheer everyone up despite the weather.

One at each corner, total of 90 feet high, solid steel. Probably going in next week. And in my opinion, a work of art. I present "The corner nodes".

Well now I see why this building took so long to get started. They seem to have gone out of their way to over engineer every square inch of that base! That's not a complaint just an observation.

They look awesome... It would be perfect for them to go in next week, got that week off. Those corner nodes are what I have been wanting to get pictures and videos of ever since I heard about them. I guess we will have to see what day's they will go in.

Is the 16000 tall enough to set them in?

If you remember the 16000 was re-fitted with a longer jib a month or so ago. I believe it was just so it could set the corner nodes.

Not much snow on the cam at the moment...

I've been trying to catch a shot of the site mid-snow storm for the last two years. Perhaps tonight is the night.
