Does anyone know the identities of any of the tenants going in the strip centre currently under construction at the corner of Prince of Wales and Woodhams?
I wonder if its open to the public. I was thinking about running over to Evraz Place on my lunch break and scooping the story for my blog.
Edit: Nevermind. I called the mayor's office and it is open to the public but requires a "costly" ticket. Let's hope the city releases the transcript quickly!
I resent the waste and mismanagement of this administration, and question the cost and benefit of a rebranding exercise, especially at the same time that utility and taxes rates are ballooning.
But I have to admit this looks fresh and more professional than the previous cheap ripoff of 'I <3 NY'
Time will tell if playing on the geographical flatness is seen as clever, or whatever is the opposite of clever...
I think it means a new slogan, like Saskatoon Shines and Moose Jaw - Surprisingly Unexpected. They apparently hired some PR folks form Ontario. I've heard most suggestions relate to Regina being flat. I predict: Regina - Infinite Horizons.
Talk about sticker shock though... I just heard they burned $350,000 doing this... and apparently couldn't find anyone local to do it either.
I know people who could and would have done it for 90% less. It's scary to know that me - a random individual - has better local contacts than our own city administration...
