Will Global be allowed to show highlights from the games? In either 2008 or 2006, the other networks weren't allowed to show *any* highlights until 24 hours had passed, with CBC having the exclusive rights for highlights. Which was a bummer, because who actually watches CBC News. I guess I could watch CTV News Vancouver, however, I'm just not as comfortable with them in my living room

CTV just played the "I Believe" video (different, and focusing on athletes, not the torch relay) during the Superbowl halftime.

Sounds and looks great in surround sound and HD! Brilliant video.

A new way to harden Cypress's snow

Interesting technique.

Quote:
The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games is using corrugated pipes, buried beneath the snow on the aerials and moguls fields of play. The pipes are filled with dry ice, which freezes or hardens the snow from the inside out....VANOC spokeswoman Mar Fraser said that dry-ice piping can preserve quality snow for up to two days....

Just found out the torch relay is going down my street on Wednesday, when I'm at work, then down my work's street on Thursday, when I'm home.

Yay?
