No, I'm pretty sure that's the message GE wishes to portray.

And, VANOC obviously approved it!

Someone wrote it on the ad. All of the VANOC sponsor ads in the car were defaced.

I don't really know how you could do that in a busy train

I recall 2 kids last spring etching windows when the train was basically full and verbally assaulting people. They did this for at least 6 or so stops...

Waterfront E/M line is Acer
Waterfront Canada Line is mostly blank still with the exception of a few Tourism BC ads.

I understand that Vanoc was expecting to take a hit on the advertising as they weren't able to sell all the advertising to sonspors and were looking at selling some space to non-sponsors so long as the ads were appropriate.

any idea what band and coffee chain will go into the Retail after the Games?

I know we have London Drugs and Urban Fare so far...........I would assume a bank, coffee place and fast food place would be givens as well.

they seem to have a new tactic now too - not "we want houses not games" but "we are stuck paying for these games for years to come" and they are for the elite etc while us taxpayers are left to pay for them

The antagonism will turn around....this also happened in Sydney, but everything changed when the torch arrived. Today was the first day the torch was in BC (it's official BC leg), you should see support for the Games explode from this point on.

well solving some misbehaviour with fighting isn't going to help the situation... = \ It's like saying we can avert a nuclear war by having nukes threatening everyone else. To me it doesn't really make sense logically.

I wonder... does TransLink still have that program to pay people for giving tips on criminals who damage transit property or assault drivers?

But anyway... I have noticed a few weeks ago when riding the Olympic Line that they have essentially built a temporary fortress around the whole athlete's village =O

Nice pics! Cool to see that people have decorated the outside of their units. I guess the Aussies are in town And the Chinese, and Czechs, and Germans...
