They own the land the pearl is proposed, but said publicly that RK is next

It's now "Regency East" according to the BKA site.

There's also an updated render on the site. Still not great but whatevva. It's a new high rise by the Stadium LRT with some retail facing Jasper ave.

Seriously, does BKA work for free? How repugnant. It's not even a mishmash of their GOOD stuff. It's like the island of misfit toys, in condo form.

and one from the northwest - again, far from the worst of our inventory and not as prominent given what's around them... other than their "best face" to the south east and their podiums from 104 street, it's acually quit difficult to catch a glimpse of much more than the top third...

The next condo after mayfair (apartments?) to go will probably be Azur/e as I'm sure soon after the main level stuff is done they'll want to finish that one off before starting cascadia, then Valleyview...seems like it's pretty ready to go just needs market (and doesn't look awful in my opinion, some nice glass, and good color combination, not the best, but it is decent), then RK East or Cascadia, followed by Pearl. That's my guess.

I just still can't believe they would waste rare river valley views like those units will have with those itty bitty punched windows. Ugh. And I'm guessing this isn't going to be marketed or sold as low- or mid-range condos, either.

Those 3/4 windows look just wierd. Would have been better if the punched windows were uniform down each side. It looks like there's going to be a small amount of curtain glass on it anyways. I don't mind the form. It's gonna be big... 30+ floors it looks like.

I also don't mind this for east Jasper, which is full of 3 story walk-ups and some older, stale looking highrises. The addition of some streetfront on Jasper will be nice, especially given how the Jasper properties so brutally ignores the street.

Jasper Properties basically has zero public street frontage.

I do not like the small boxy windows. It looks cheap. Why can't they just run glazing up. More light is better and most people would buy into a place with curtain wall versus small cheap vinyl windows in a high-rise. Perhaps it is for renters as who else would care to live there.

i see the point, and although i love the look of the building, if i could make one change, i too would make the windows much bigger!

^that one at least has interesting shapes and a bit more glass. but still a lotta white. it seems at the beginning of the decade...oranges/reds/beiges were on the craze...now with rk east, icon, vivacity, parliament, and now the tango...it's just pure white.

It wouldn't surprise me if BKA eventually puts white glazing on one of their condos, if that's even possible....i pray it doesn't come to that
