the glazing is ppg triple glazing in a custom kawneer frame. i believe the colour name is azuria although that's just off memory. it was selected for it's transparency and warmth and from the quality of light it gives to the interior as much as for it's exterior appearance. overall performance should be in the u-value range of 1.23W/m2K which is pretty good given there is 7'-0'' of glazing per floor.

knock your socks off. it shouldn't take too much to upgrade the box and you might even have enough change left over for a starbucks.

I was driving home last night along 97th Ave, taking the tunnel under the Leg Grounds towards 109th Street, when I looked to my left and was again struck by the seemingly wasted space along the south side of 97th Ave.

Is this area strictly off limits to development due to the restrictions place by the River Balley protection measures?

Being so close to the Leg grounds, and the ballpark, I'm curious as to why it hasn't been developed a lot further - it has the potential to be a wonderful residential tower area with mixed use commericial or even government (?) below.

Plus the Leg wouldn't look so lonely.

How tall is the main floor of EPCOR tower?

Also, is that going to be the finished border around the windows/glazing? If so, I hope it isn't too noticeable when looking from a distance...

This land (at least the majority of it) is owned by the City of Edmonton and is known as West Rossdale. They just completed an Urban Design Plan for this area that is absolutely wicked. More details to come.

Epcor glazing - I love the transparency, looking good.

Telus - You gotta admire those iron workers and how they can walk along those beams that high up. I can't imagine how brutal it will be up there when the temps start to drop. Speaking of iron workers, has anyone been by the Iron Workers Union Local 720 building on 122 Street and 105 Ave? They are building a new administration office building and it actually looks quite cool. Someone should go and take a couple of pics.

main floor and 2nd floor are both 20' floor to floor with much of the lobby being open through both floors turning this:

into this:

those aren't finished mullions (borders) but the use of glazing "caps" in some locations and not others and the use of different depth caps will be part of the finished architecture and detailing for the building.
