what is the current and near future schedule for AC's flight to London - ie: when does or has it change from 7X to 4X or 3X and what days when it does change.
I have looked at the AC timetable but it is useless

So true - its like a yoyo. I have to go to book a flight and see what comes up. The schedule is unreliable.

FYI, American Airlines WILL (as of this time) be adding a YEG-DFW flight in April.

Dont ask me how I know but its true at this point.Having spoken to a AA rep I think that should help you.

CRJ-700 I am guessing? Wonder if it will be plagued by the refueling stops like the Houston Calgary Jazz flight.

That would be some very very good news... kinda ironic the number after the text...

I wonder if this is a reaction to Continental's entrance into the YEG market. I'm trying to remember if AMR ever flew here?

Yes they did, to DFW with a stop in Calgary. It was 1x daily. I took that flight several times and it was cut about 10 years ago or so. 6 AM departure time out of YEG was ugly.

american did fly here about 15 years ago it was YEG-YYC-DFW-IAH
AA ordered 22 new aircraft from bombardier

My guess is that it may have something to do with CO's re-entry into the YEG market.

It will likely be a flight by American Eagle with a CRJ-700 since they are taking more on in the next while.The topic came up while speaking with a AA rep who was in MMUN advising us of upcoming changes.He could clearly tell I was not a local and asked were I was from.I responded ''Edmonton Canada'' and he responded with we are planning a return to Edmonton very shortly...Offcourse I dug for info and got some...

I am up late tonight as our A/C decided to crap out tonight, and even with all the windows open its still unbearably muggy in the house.I also had a hell of a time finding a repair company to fix it.Anyway looks like you guys are doing pretty good as the economy slowly climbs back.

Anyone planning a trip to the area as I am sure it is quickly cooling off in Ed?

Tuffyy, I sincerely hope you're right, and your source is right, but here's an update posted on AA's changes for the summer, from a usually reliable website, and while it talks of new routes ORD-YVR and ORD-YYC, there's no mention of YEG:

American Airlines on 17SEP09 announced a major fleet and route adjustment for 2010, which sees the airline dropping unprofitable route, and re-assigned to its hub routes for new service or additional frequencies.

From Dallas, American Airlines is to increase 19 Daily departures, total 780. This includes 17 mainline flights, with RELAUNCHED service to San Salvador in El Salvador, which will be AA's 160th destination from Dallas.

Compared to Winter 2009/10, American Eagle will remove 26 Daily CRJ700 service.

Los Angeles
2 Extra Daily flights, increasing to 129 Daily flights. This includes 1 Daily Mainline and 1 Daily Eagle flight.

Miami
American is adding 4 new domestic and 3 new international destinations during 2009/10 Winter season.

New York
In Summer 2010 season, AA will launch 3 new international and 3 new domestic routes:

New York JFK - Madrid
New York JFK - Manchester
New York JFK - San Jose (Costa Rica)
New York JFK - Austin
New York JFK - Columbus OH (American Eagle)
New York JFK - St. Louis (American Eagle)

Out of JFK, it will increase Daily departures to 96. There will be 2 extra daily flights added at New York La Guardia

St. Louis
American is shrinking its operation in St. Louis, with removal of 46 Daily departures to 20 Destinations, which will be in effect in the 2009/10 Winter season. It will continue to offer 36 Daily service to 9 cities.

Raleigh
It will suspend 3 destinations, accounts 9 Daily departures. It will continue to operate 44 Daily flights to 8 destinations.

Well I hope I am right aswell, and they arent confusing YEG with YYC.

Seems to be a American thing.It would be a shame if that was the case but I being in the route development for MMUN would hope not...

If it is the case I would be willing to push for a YEG flight since it is my Specialty.

Without sounding rude, what has Carol done for YEG in her time with EIA over the past couple of years?

Not a whole lot from what I have been hearing.

Sounds like your contact is probably refering to YYC and not YEG.

Sorry, no such thing on a.net. An extensive search turned up nothing regarding YEG and AA even in the same thread.

they can make the control penthouse look like a bottle of maple syrup
I always like how the architect says, "its meant to mimic the prarie wind"
Noboby is going to think, "wow, look at that building, it reminds me of the prairie winds"
BTW, the tile arrangement in the existing terminal is suppose to mimic prairie wheat blowing in the prairie wind

I like how unique the building is. Reminds me a lot of Cardinal's architecture. It will be interesting to see what kind of materials are used on the exterior. As much as I liked those renderings posted a couple months ago for a glass retro-fitting, I think something like this will stick in the minds of passengers much more.

Definitely Cardinal Influence. Looks a bit like the Museum of Civilization.
