I'm planning on going to NYC in July next year, about how high can I expect the building to be at that point?

Excellent. The NE corner begins. Looks like one of vertical column. Big Red is currently positioned to place the new outer column on the other side of the east side entrance.

Assuming there will still be a broadcasting ring. There are still questions about the top of the tower that have yet to be answered.

Earthcam stuck again. Looks like the column is going on the north side looking at the Rebuild cam.

Big pour going on the memorial plaza, just in time for the 9-11 remembrance gathering. Nice that WTC1 rising will provide an excellent backdrop.

The first NE column is up. Plus they've pre-positioned a number of the safety catwalks by Big Red. Looks like a number of columns will be going up in the next few days.

Like what?

Would they even go as far as to redesign the tower part? That would be my dreak come true, I can't stand the tapering.

No. He's talking about everything above the roof. As far as we know, the designs for w/e is above the roof are not finalized, or at least, have not been released.

wong21fr - You're right about those catwalks being a good leading indicator for new columns. The one that went up with today's new column appeared yesterday.

That's great. They put up the SE corner in one week, so maybe they'll complete the NE corner in a week. Four corners, four weeks. Sounds good.

Here's a cam shot from earlier today...

Is the West plaza close to being ready for concrete?

I would say no, but that's just a guess out of all the unfinished area's of rebar that still need to be built up. Could be wrong though and they could do that part in sections I suppose. Not sure how.

Wonder if they'll be actively working tomorrow. Here's a shot from a couple of minutes ago:

Are those tarps up on the southeast corner to weld the joints where the columns were joined? Just wondered, I think they were bolted together at first, but I was wondering why they are covered now?
