These flights are on the Airbus 330-200. I actually find Air Transat's website a pain to navigate. It never seems to run smoothly and schedules are incorrect sometimes. Is this a sign of the airline? Who in the hell wants to leave FRA at 7:55am in the morning? You basically have to add a hotel stay at Frankfurt to make the Air Transat flight work.

True. But IF the AMS return works in terms of time that may be an option. I can not see a site yet where AT is showing the AMS flight. LHR via AC is an option with more connections this year onto the continent as much better rates. I am looking for net year now.

... and also that Delta is offering some good fares into 2010 through NYC connecting MSP/NY and then to FRA and other places. You saved a tidy little bundle of $$ AND supported our new route!. Great work!!

I see the flights are being operated by AC and not Jazz. That is a change - I wonder if there is anything driving the change besides AC not operating the CR Series?

I quite like the E190. Flew it home from Denver a few weeks back and much more comfortable than the CRA. Great seats - the curves on them provide good visibility throughout the aircraft. I have flown the non-stop from LAX a few times on the CRA. 18 extra seats a day is a modest increase - a second flight would be better - but glad to see any attention we can get from AC.

Just a side not if you flew the DEN-YEG route it would have been a E-175...sorry just a tech.

You're right, but that's still about a 24 per cent increase in the number of seats. Not bad. Anyone ever done the math on the number of seats heading to the US on an average day after Continental's service kicks in? I count 24 daily flights off the top of my head, but I've never done a seat count.

july had 77,371 pax - divide that by 31 = 2496.
I would guess houston would add about 200

OK. I have flown the E190 to YUL - but do not remember it. The Denver flight was very recent and I remember chatting with my friend about the seats etc. and that the ceiling was higher than the CRA planes (maybe the design)?. Looking at SeatGuru I see the E175 has 9/64 seats compared to the CRA 10/65 - same number.

It used to be a mix of the Embrarers and CRJ-700's.

Speaking of Embraer as I flew in one this weekend. The BUF airport is really nice... small, but done well. I'm a fan.

Based on 737 service, the IAH route would add about 120-140 seats/day or so (each way).
