I was thinking the same. The W has a taller roof than 360...so it might be taller. I look forward to the glass starting on the W. Again Thanks Priller, much appreciated,

Shoot... you beat me to it! I was riding my bike by the site today and saw the same. Several guys picking thru the weeds looking for stuff.

I would think they would indeed be closing San Antonio soon.

Happy this will get underway soon. It will help minimize the impact of the "god-awful" state garage to the South! Can't wait until that gets replaced someday!

It looks like with the addition to the W the Austin skyline will rival that of cincinnati. I was just there last night and it still looks a bit bigger than Austin. But with the addition of Queen City Square Austin will need the Stacy building to keep up. Check out the construction of it. The QCS buildings core is 7 floors ahead of the rest of the building. How wierd.

I'd love to see the full size pic. I really like that view.

It sure looks like my photo I took last year shortly after they lit the building.

the last time i was in Seattle (summer of '05) there was a downtown high rise under construction and the elevator shaft was being built much faster than the rest of the bldg. very strange to see this tall skinny brick laden structure standing up high all by itself. looked like it could just topple over with a heavy gust of wind.

That is wierd??? I was downtown that night when they where going to lit The Monarch up, me and a couple of my friends walked passed whole foods to the parking lot east of whole foods by Hut's hamburgers thats when I took a picture I think I might have saw you down there Kevin? I notice someone else taking pictures also.... I can erase it and put a different one up if I need to, I don't want to feel that I took someone else's picture either .

I'm pretty sure that was my photo in your avatar. It's ok though, I totally don't mind if you use it. I remember seeing a group of people walk by that night too across the Whole Foods parking lot. 3 people? It's been a while, there was at least one guy and maybe another or two girls? I don't remember, it was dark and it's been a little while. If you saw a guy on a bicycle with a tripod, that was me.

Here's a few more from that night.

The garage.

And a poor quality video I did of it. This was from the Congress Avenue bridge. There were several people there too taking pictures.

Priller,

Killer stuff man... In addition to Green it would be really cool to see some of the more near term projects like Ovation, Marriot hotel, Seaholm hotel, Westin, 21C, museum office tower, Rio, etc in there...

thanks for all of your work!

Yes, pretty sure. It will be few blocks east and maybe a block south. But that's enough to put it out of the view.

ON EDIT: You know, I looked at it again, and I think you're right. I had remembered it being in a slightly different spot, but it's actually right next to the old retirement tower. So yeah, it probably would show up.

thanks for all of your work!

You're welcome!

As for the new projects:

Ovation -- I'm not sure now if that will ever happen, with Novare having serious problems.

Marriott -- We haven't had a new rendering so we don't really know it will look like.

Westin -- Never seen a rendering.

Museum office -- that project is dead.

Rio and Seaholm, I could do. Also Phase II of the Gables.

Plus, once all the Green towers are in, the rest of these projects will be hard to see from that angle.
