I wish they'd move closer to downtown! Somewhere on Main Street would be ideal! Perhaps they could go in the space where the "What Were We Thinking Cafe" was located (part of the Utah Theater property), which is now owned by the City. They could give pat a great deal, in exchange for the foot traffic of course!

Or into this vacant building:

Would make a nice "Southern" anchor for Main Street!

Yeah I still need to make it there sometime, I hear its great. My wife isn't into BBQ much so it is a tough sell. I think that would be a grand idea for them to locate there or in CCC, especially considering they are apparently not open on Sundays. I would like to think that they could survive as the southern anchor (that would really fit there type of food), but I doubt it.

That would be an excellent addition to the area. As far as I know there isn't anything with the New Orleans/creole feel to it downtown, and it would enhance the vibe of the area perfectly.

IMO, not only the design of 222's Main Street encounter, but especially the mix with it's attractive neighbors, makes it one of the most engaging sectors of any downtown I've seen.

I know someone posted this a while back... but damn that building looks exactly like one we just got in Denver, 1900 16th St. 222 S Main is a little taller and I think I like it a little more than ours honestly.

Yeah that is very similar in its basic design. While I think I would need to see other pics of that to decide, from that photo I think 222 is much better looking. They probably are designed from the same firm.

Here is a better but older picture of 1900 16th. It's not nearly as green as it looks in the other pic. 222 has a better color scheme and crowning.

I love the contrast in colors between 222 and the One Utah Center across the street. Really makes Main Street look classy.

I saw the same thing. After seeing other's pics, I'm glad I didn't fuss about taking any myself. The back is pretty underwhelming. I wish they'd carried the full crown around the whole building.

Driving home on the freeway this evening, it looked like the entire crown was now lit. Looked good from the freeway. It would be nice to see that crown red when the Utes begin kicking butt this football season.
