This Request for Proposal is for prime consulting services for Project Management, Detailed Design and Construction Engineering for the North LRT Extension from Downtown to NAIT, as more specifically outlined in the Description of Work (the "Services").

The prequalification stage is now complete and the following is a list of all the Consultants who have pre-qualified to bid this project:
1. AECOM
2. SNC-MMM Joint Venture Partnership.
I wonder why Stantec didn't prequalify based on their involvment with SLRT? Or did they handle a different scope of it?

Whitemud widening

Hello all,

I've done some searching online but can't seem to find anything on this.

Can anyone tell me about the retaining walls on the right hand side of the Whitemud right after you cross the Quesnell Bridge?

What is the design purpose of those massive cylindrical concrete walls placed side by side? Are they indeed retaining walls or do they serve some other function?

Thanks in advance.

O/T guys, but Dan Tencer just said on his twitter that a big Oiler announcement is coming today....

Arena announcement? That would be pretty big.

Then again, it could be Dany Heatly too.

From his post on HF Boards after an 8 page thread broke out just on the tweet.

No Heatley, either. Was really hoping it was going to be an arena announcement, or a player trade.

... a big announcement on a friday before a long weekend?

my guess is that it is further details on the reddox blockbuster signing and what his favorite chocolate bar is.

Well it certainly would have been nice of Tambo to give us all good reason to really celebrate this weekend, no?

Three firetrucks seems excessive for just an EMS response, but not outside the realm of possibility.

City TV had a feature on this a few weeks ago. They work as a series of arches and are a stronger more cost effective(use less concrete) than a standard retaining wall. They had a good rendering of what the finished product will look like - should be interesting.
